I have been involved in the Global Investment Leaders Club since January- February of 2020. The forum has enabled us to meet new people who we would have not met otherwise, especially during the year of lockdown. For the past 1.5 years, we meet regularly on a virtual platform and spend a couple of hours on Thursdays over a cup of coffee, exchanging notes and identifying opportunities of mutual interest. It has become an essential part of our routine. Every interaction has been a really nice experience with a lot of mutual learning. While not everything leads to [...]
I have the curiosity to look at a lot of different things and this is probably the main reason to join GILC, meeting you all, people of different nationalities, backgrounds, interests, and I think that’s adds to my perspective on the world and investment, …as well as making new friendships.
I am in the club because I just love meeting people from all kinds of backgrounds. I’d like to make sure that my perspective is global, and being able to connect with other investors from all over the world gives me that. It’s not easy to replicate. What I’ve learned over the years and seen in the club is that every investor is different, has their own interest and their own ideas of how they can make returns or make an impact. Happy to connect and explore collaborations with everyone here.
The main reason that I am a member of this club is that I get to meet a lot of very interesting and high ranking people. And this is valuable particularly in the time when there is no travel at all possible, these club gatherings are something that I look forward to every week.
I am truly enjoying these sessions, it’s great to meet new people from all over the world. I had an opportunity to attend one physical meeting in February 2020. There was a lot of people to meet, so it could have been hectic throughout the day, and the virtual format is very nice. We spend the quality three hours together. I see some familiar faces, some new faces. I extend a very warm welcome to all of you, and it’s great to be here, thank you Lisa for organizing such a great event.
