On the 1st of December, 2022, the 105th PIFW: “Co-operation of Family Offices as a guarantee of long-term success. Chapter II” took place successfully where dozens of active investors and well-established heads of family offices had to opportunity to form solid and advantageous relationships with like-minded investors and heads of family offices across the world.

During the gathering, many practical and insightful information was exchanged by the knowledgeable speakers of the event, who got to share some of their personal experiences and tackle some interesting topics, such as how things will change for family offices in the upcoming years.

In fact, Craig Astill, CEO of the Caason Group, Australia, said during the event: “Sustainability and impact-focused investments will start to be the focus of many family offices. There is a great transition happening in this sense and people’s awareness around sustainability is also on the rise. A good example of this would be what is happening with batteries, people are noticing that creating lithium batteries is not sustainable. This created a shift in the battery market and opportunity for a more sustainable option.”

Guneet Banga, Executive Director at the Caravel Group, Hong Kong, stated that although a lot has changed, the focus of his family office will stay the same apart from some details of where they will invest in. Guneet also noted that there is a trend around sustainability; he stated that recently everyone is becoming much more aware of sustainability and accountability for emissions.
